“ Outstanding breakfast place. The food is tasty and the amount is hearty. We ordered a variety of things and were not disappointed at all. The waitress was very friendly and even invited us to come certain days of the week for various specials. And they have Grits! Ordered the corned beef hash and eggs with home fries, chicken, French toast and a pancake (thought it would be small) my bad. lol. Will definitely visit this rustic big breakfast place again. ”
“ This place is very small and could use a new ceiling. It looks like it's been here for years! The food is good service is good. The prices are ok. The cornbread is the best around!! I have only been here twice and I would definitely come back. Don't look at the ceiling tho it's disgusting. ”

“ From Michelin starred restaurants to down home diners in one week- follow me for lots of variety in my culinary adventures! LOL Not being a Deland local, I don't know if there is a "Big Rig 1", but I kind of suspect there is. Big Rig 2 was right around the corner from where I was working this day, so I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised. For what it is, a kind of dive-y diner frequented by locals, I really liked this place. I'm from South Carolina originally, and I literally felt like I had went home and stepped back in time some thirty plus years. Fried chicken, collard greens, green beans, and Sweet Tea ( NOT "sweetened tea"- that's a Yankee word ;) ). Yummm. Everything was delicious. Don't go in expecting anything fancy, but if you like good Southern cooking and your waitresses sweet but sassy, this place won't disappoint. Next time I'm in Deland, I'll come here again! Or maybe I'll try to find "Big Rig 1" after all... ”
“ I try to order something different when I go there, but I am so in love with their pork cutlet. I end up ordering the same thing every time! It's a very small café with a lot of old fashion charm. Excellent help the people are so sweet and nice and thoughtful. They have the tables covered in pictures local places to go so you can kind of read the table. It's covered with veneer. It's very interesting. They do have a great assortment of food and their breakfast are to die for. I have had that before too, and they have the pork cutlet for breakfast too. ”
